Tournament History
During the nine years that the tournament has been conducted we have awarded 30 scholarships to graduates of Regis High School; Santiam High School and Stayton High School. These scholarship awards have totaled $23,550.00 and have assisted students attending colleges spread over the U.S. including one student attending St Andrews College in Scotland near the home of golf. Many of these recipients have reported that the scholarship award has been a significant help to them in managing the cost of a college education.

We have awarded 88 mini grants totaling $48,960 to organizations providing programs for the youth of the Canyon. These programs have ranged from the Mill City Library summer youth reading program to Sports programs from Sublimity to Gates. Many of these programs have stated that they would have difficulty carrying out their programs without the assistance we provide. In total we distributed over a period of nine (9) years $72.510.

Scholarship applications are open from November 2010 thru mid March 2011 for this our 10th year. Youth programs wishing to be considered for funding assistance from the Youth Benefit Golf Tournament should submit their request outlining how the program benefits youth and the number of youth involved not later than mid March 2011 to be considered.
